As a parent, I’m constantly trying to introduce positive examples of black historical figures to my son and daughter. I created a book that explained the very positive achievements of Madam C.J. Walker so children could feel proud and also see the impact of one determined person! Madam C.J. Walker’s Road To Success has colorfully animated pages that will captivate the children’s attention while educating them. My goal is to give children a sense of pride by learning about heroes that were successful in avenues aside from sports and entertainment. I would like to broaden their horizons and allow them to be inspired by those who have made intellectual achievements and sacrifices that benefit us all.
